Are you ready to suffer through the emotional roller coaster and experience all the tension that comes with an amazing book? Yes? Then An Ember in the Ashes is undeniably what you're looking for.

Good Lord, it took me almost a month to read because it was gut-wrenchingly stressful. Every other chapter, I was gasping, covering my mouth with my hand and murmuring to myself how unfair it all was. Tahir is such a gifted writer. She made me want to reach through the pages and h ...more

Maybe 3.5 stars...I'll have to wait and see if it stays with me.

This is an epic fantasy. There is world building, characters that have morals, characters that don't have morals, mean rulers and of course main characters that are trying to change their world because they are better than what they were born into.
