To be completely honest, I found it somehow boring at the beginning. The start was slow for me and I couldn't connect with the main characters (I found Emma a bit annoying, a bad mixture between Isabelle and Clary) ; the story felt flat and I was wondering where was it going to go. But I loved the
The Infernal Devices and I was curious to see where all the Blackthorn family plot is going to go and ... oh boy.

Cassandra Clare, you wreck me every single time I read one of your books! Lady Midnight was absolutely extraordinary, I enjoyed every second of of it. I had a few doubts with Emma's character at first, but she really proved herself to me through the course of the book, and by the end I was laughing and crying with her. Julian (oh sweet lord, Julian) was one of the best male protagonists I'd ever read! He had so much depth, and love for his family. He and Emma were such a good team. Mark was also ...more
