What Members Thought

It took me at least 100 pages to get into this book but in the end I enjoyed it.
Pros: I really enjoyed Mark Blackthorn’s character and his story throughout this book. His introduction to the story is what kept me interested and kept me reading when I was thinking of giving up. The flashbacks added to the story and made me feel like I knew the world and the characters a bit more. The plot was interesting enough in the end to make me want to read the next book.

Re-read March 2021:
Enjoyable the second time around. TMI still remains my favorite Shadowhunters series. Although, Jules and Emma give Jace and Clary a run for their money as far as epic romances are concerned!
First Read Feb 2019:
Can’t beat The Mortal Instruments, but this was very good. Clare is a gifted storyteller. It seems I find very few books anymore that I can’t put down. So it’s pretty exciting to have discovered an author whose stories keep me transfixed. I love the Shadowhunter world!

hello! yes! i'm that person that was stupid enough not to listen everything what everybody was saying about this book:
"don´t read this one without reading the other books of the mortal instruments and infernal devices series.."
every single person that i watch daily on booktube said that, and i didn't listen. now i'm scarred forever! i spoiled myself and didn't even like the story that much because of that and a lot of other reasons... i'm not planning doing a thing like this again. ...more
