This book is a well-written coming of age story that includes important issues such as ,drugs,abuse, abortion, and homosexuality.

3 stars. I actually liked the right up until the end. I think the epilogue was meant to function as some kind of explanation of Charlie's quirkiness and I just didn't like it. I liked the fact that the main character also loved books.

As for the writing style, I liked the idea of writing letters to a practical stranger, it just took me some time to get used to this. So beside the high quotability of this, there really are some strong quotes in there, the book didn't win me over. I'm glad I've fi
