Shelves: series, ya-lit, sci-fi

I would rate higher than 5 stars if I could. This won't go in.my Book Riot reading Journal because I started it in 2019. I say this a lot, but I'm not a fast reader. The readers that finish one or more books a week isn't me. I was so captivated by this story, I didn't want it to end until I knew I could start Scarlet right away.

So I think everyone’s already aware that this book is a retelling of Cinderella. In an alternate universe. Where aliens can control you if they want.

I’d heard a lot about this book and of course the 4+ rating on Goodreads convinced me that this was the next Hunger games, if Katniss had been a cyborg princess with a bitchy stepmother and a hot prince crushing on her. Ho comprato questo libro per puro caso, colpita dalla copertina e da alcune voci sentite online, ma dopo averlo ricevuto e scartato l’ho lasciato in disparte. Non so per quale motivo: la prima pagina semplicemente non mi aveva colpito subito.

Ma poi qualcosa è cambiato.
