What Members Thought
The book was really, really dark. The villains weren't all that smart or powerful but they were exceptionally dark and malevolent.
Sometimes the events didn't make a lot of sense and I figured there were a lot of logical ways the story could have progressed. The adventure and the adrenaline though made up for the things that lacked! It was really good imagination on the part of the author! Not for me.
The idea of a darker twisted story based upon the classic Wizard of Oz appealed to me in it's description but unfortunately I just couldn't get into this book. It just felt flat compared to my expectations. However I do believe this would make a great movie rather than a book. ...more
