What Members Thought

I really enjoy Lemony Snicket's books. I used to read them all the time when I was younger. They are really simple and quick to get through. This one took me only a day and a half to finish.
I used to find his style of writing somewhat annoying and patronising, but now I really find it interesting and amusing. A good start to the series and I'm now looking forward to going through the rest of the books and finally finding out (many years later in my life) what became of the Baudelaire orphans. ...more

I've been dragging my feet on starting this series, but it is much better than I thought. This first book is great introduction to these characters and this world.
