This was a reread for me, but I really enjoyed it. Characters-9-I really enjoy all of SJM's characters. I think she writes characters that are flawed, but ones that you want to root for. Atmosphere- 8- I wanted the atmosphere in this story to be a little more. I enjoyed what was there, but still wanted to be brought into the world by the atmosphere more. Writing-10- SJM is one of my favorite writers in Fantasy. I love her characters, plot, and how she weaves her world-building

So, I didn’t dislike Celaena, which is apparently something that happens less and less nowadays. When I first saw the reviews for this book I was pretty intrigued because of all the raving about it. Either you really, really love it, or your feelings fall on the other end of the spectrum.
