I can see why this is an important science fiction work, but honestly it was kind of hard to stay interested in, as it's very disjointed and kind of anthology-esque. It boils down to the fact that the Empire has this scientist, Hari Seldon, who uses math to figure out that society will collapse in about 1000 years (with the way the world is now I have no trouble believing that if someone said this now no one would care) so he's able to start a society on a different planet at the edge of the gal

It’s a little dry considering it’s mostly characters speculating on what will happen in the future as if it can be predicted so well. I’m somewhat curious how this is a series since a lot of dialogue is left out and it is written that it goes on in that way for some time. Like the characters just continue to argue or explain things but they aren’t actually there for the reader.
