It took me so long to read this book, and I'm surprised I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, although I think some of that was myself putting too much pressure on enjoying it, you know? Since I love Neil Gaiman and I know that Wynne Jones is a huge influence for him a part of me thinks I need to love all her work. I enjoyed this, but wasn't crazy inspired by it.

I would NEVER be able to tolerate someone like Howl. This guy is a mess! He's unreliable and unpredictable at times. He can be exceptionally grumpy and occasionally hurtful. He's a terrible womanizer. But deep down I love him dearly.
