What Members Thought
Rebecca is a classic I'd never read before, so I thought I should read it. It's the story of an unnamed narrator, the second Mrs. de Winter, who meets a handsome, wealthy older man while working as a companion for an elderly woman in Monaco. They hastily marry, and upon return to Manderley, his estate, she is constantly compared to his elegant, beautiful, sociable first wife, Rebecca. But like in most suspense novels, everything is not what it seems.

Creepy and atmospheric this was a journey down a rabbit hole. The main character never even gets a name and is living in the shadow of her husbands dead wife. I can see why it is a classic. The overall story feels it has been copied over and over. I thought it was great I did not like the main character but she was someone I loved to hate.
