Actually 3.5 stars. A cute cozy mystery.

This has to be one of the best witch cozies I've read! I can see why some of my reading friends love this series so much. From the great characters that I quickly grew to really like a lot to the various relationships in their lives, the surprise killer...and the sweet and sort of emotional surprise at the end of the book, it was all great and I can't wait to read the next book.

This turned out to be a very cute and charming cozy mystery based in Salem, Massachusetts, famed witch country. Darcy and Harper Merriweather relocate to Salem with their Aunt Ve after the death of their father. It turns out that their mother was a wishcrafter (able to magically grant wishes) and they've inherited the gift, although they've been raised as mortals by their father since their mother's death years ago.
