What a fun loose retelling of fairy tales set in a dystopic world. I have liked the first 2 books in this series but this third one is the best one so far! Things are really coming to a head and am loving Cress' (aka Rapunzel) character here; her innocence & faith in her prince. Her charming prince, who isn't at all perfect (!), is the comic foil in this action-packed instalment to the series. Would love to see how these 2 will develop in the next book and of course, all the other pairings cuz I

Another rollicking romp. I enjoyed the naivety of Cress, and although my interest dropped off a little around the halfway point, it certainly picked up the pace towards the end. The introduction of Winter certainly piqued my interest - I think she will be a very interesting character in the next book.
I'll admit that I'm tiring of the instalove & convenient pairings in the series, but I'm sure the intended audience loves them.
Looking forward to wrapping up the series now! ...more

This was sooo good. So many revelations, so much more stuff to come. I felt bad for Cress, she found out the truth of herself and then had to suffer a loss. And poor Doctor Erland.
I loved that Cinder was coming into herself although she's still unsure. Loved her and Kai at the end.
Im not sure what the next book will bring but I know its going to be interesting. Princess Winter defintely seems like an interesting character. ...more

The third installment of the Lunar Chronicles introduces us to Cress, the mysterious hacker from Cinder. Her mission from the Lunars who exiled her is to collect information on those on Earth who threaten Luna and its inhabitants, including Cinder and her crew. Cress's own mission, however, is to find a way to get to Earth and save Cinder from Queen Levana.
Cress is girlier than the Cinder and Scarlet, loves singing and acting, and also has a talent for hacking. She's dreamy and a bit naive, but ...more

This one was so much fun - I love reading about heists, so I enjoyed every minute of the last third of this book in particular. I'm also enjoying Cinder exploring the limits of her powers and the moral grey zone more and more.
The only downside is that I'm not into all of the relationships - I get that they're an integral part of the original fairytales, but all the characters splitting off into romantic pairings is not what I'm here for. Additionally, I appreciate what Meyer attempted to do wit ...more

So, Yay! I love these books. I was getting such anxiety when the crew got separated, but were then so close and not know it, and when Cress met Dr. Erland and ran away..... Ack! Gotta get to the last book. This story is so good!
