Read this one at work when it came out. This is funny as I was the first hired civilian working for the Department of Public Safety.
I am very excited to review this for the podcast. This was my second experience with the novel, if you don't count seeing the VERY FAITHFUL film that adapts much of the novel word for word. This is not my favorite PKD, that would be Three Stigmata but there is a strong argument that it is his best. Stay tuned for the podcast in Feb/mar 22.

A chilling (though often funny) story about drug addiction, personal identity, and government surveilance - Dick was apparently applying many of his own experiences into this book. I have not seen the recent film adaptation, but I definitely want to after reading this masterful PKD novel!
