"Time Out of Joint" was first published by Lippincott in hardcover - 59-7775, in 1959, running 221pp, and sold for $3.95, when they were going to start a science-fiction line.

This is just okay as far as Dick is concerned. Better than a lot of other stuff in the world, but not so great compared to everything else he has ever written. Some of the most interesting stuff was sort of underexplored.

Dick comes out in real force to explore his favorite topics of shifting realities, dystopian futures and loss of perception. A rather early, but fascinating novel.
