After all the hype, I was a bit skeptical thinking I would not like it, but I'm glad I was wrong. I liked everything, the way the story was told, the characters, the plot, the timeline, and the criticism. The characters are flawed, but you still like and care about them. I didn't cry, but I can see why someone people would. It was beautiful.

I don't even know where to start. This was undeniably a great book, however it wasn't spectacular. I loved the writing style, the fast pacing of the book and the complex characters that sometimes made me root for them, hate them, love them. It is a heartbreaking story about love and the sacrifices we are, as people, willing to make for the ones we love. It also presented beautifully the different types of relationships and how often they can be misleading and misunderstood.

This book didn’t feel like real life to me, it was everything and more. I enjoyed how we got to see what it was truly like back then to be a individual such as evelyn. I found myself falling in love with her story, even as heartbreaking as it was.

This book hurt my soul. Listening to Evelyn’s love and loss destroyed me. I imagine that she is finally happy with her loves.
This book is absolutely captivating in every aspect of the word. While the first few chapters leave you questioning whether or not the book will hold you, it absolutely will. I haven’t read a book that is so raw, so real, but also a book that while it may be fiction, it definitely reminds me of what I would think, feel, and act like if I was famous. Extremely good writing. Some of the best I’ve ever read. I didn’t care too much about the characters or the plot, though. The high rating is for the writing alone.
