2.75. Not a bad book by any means, but I was hoping to be awed just a bit more. You can essentially predict the whole thing, start to finish. The nuance was just not there for me.

But, that being said, it wasn’t a total disaster and I agree with (and find) some of the themes very important, so…

Erm. This is probably just not my type of book. It's not bad per se.. after all, the story was definitely intriguing at a glance. However, from the very beginning, it was just a little too preachy and lacked the depth I was looking for. It was all a little too straightforward, I guess. For the philosophical book that it aimed to be, I wish it left some more up to interpretation. ...more

The Midnight Library really makes you think about life and how different your world would be based on decisions you make, it was such an interesting concept that was well-executed.
