This book lived up to the hype! I smashed it, reading 500ish pages in less than 3 days. And it was so easy to fly through!! There were points that I could not put this book down and stayed up way too late reading 🙈

Was it original? No
Was it predictable? Yes

But who cares!! It was gggooooooodddd!! 🫠

Some people might complain about the lack of worldbuilding but it had enough for me. Characters, events and politics were not over complicated, they were easy to learn and keep straight. Maybe I wouldn’ ...more

When I saw the first reviews as a paranormal hunger games with Vampires I was intrigued, but after reading it, I realized it was so much more .

Yes there are seriously moody and dangerous vampires but they are just the outliers of the actual story line. The heroine Oraya is the human "daughter" of the Nightborn King, Vincent. Her life has been one of training, surviving in the shadows of the castle till she can fight in the Kejari, so that she can ask the Goddess of Death for a power to bind her ...more
