Before I dive into my actual review, I want to say how THANKFUL I am to Cynthia Morgan, who so gracefully gave me a free copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I have been DYING to read this sequel since I finished Misericorde, and even though life has been a bit insane and I haven’t had time to write up this review, Clandestine is all I’ve been able to think about. I’ve read other books since then, and I am just…. STUCK on this stinking series.

Cynthia Morgan continues to weave a beautiful story in book two of the Mercy Series. As I stated in my review of book one, the author's narrative style is enthralling and almost lyrical as she draws the reader into the plot and characters. While Tzadkiel and Lourdes are pursued and under threat of capture, the bigger story is one of innocence, purity, and discovery.
