This was my second Neil Gaiman book and I feel like I should have started with this book first.

The story was well written. I liked how every chapter was a different story in the life of Nobody Owens. Each chapter being a snippet of an experience of Bod's life like a puzzle piece being placed and the end of the story is the final picture each puzzle piece was responsible for.

If you haven't read it, I don't want to give anything away, but the ending made me tear up. I wonder if all of his ending ...more

I really enjoyed this book-- the imagery and just the 'fun' of a boy (Nobody 'Bod' Owens) being raised by ghosts just really clicked with me. The world is really well developed. Overall, the story is intriguing and the characters are well written-- except for Scarlett. Scarlett is a normal girl who befriends Bod, disappears for half the book, then comes back. She's a weak, undeveloped character and I feel that Gaiman could have excluded her and gotten his point across another way. ...more
