surprisingly darker than i expected, the cruel prince had a lot more political (?) intrigue than romance. power is always a game, and the way the pieces were played in this book was interesting enough to have me returning, one plot twist after the other.

this was ungodly good and i’ve only heard good things about the other books. amazing story building. love love.
Honestly, this was hard to get through. It felt too slow. I'm not sure if I will continue with the series.
