"You're in books. Of course you don't have a life. None of us do. There is always something too good to read"
I love reading books about books. It's meta, it's self indulgent, it's relatable. This book was an ode to reading like i thought The Cat Who Saved Books was going to be but wasn't. You can feel Emily Henry's love for reading through her work and it's heartwarming.

This for all my FIRST DAUGHTER SISTERS OUT THERE. There’s a Charlie Lastra out there somewhere for us too💘 I see you holding it all together 😭😭 and even though a Charlie would help make everything better, remember we made it before and we’ll make it even after ✊🏼 hold on girlies 🎀 ...more

This was a lovely book. Really really nice. I gave it 4 stars because as great as it was, it hasn’t hooked me like other books have. I wasn’t reaching to immediately pick up the book every chance I got kind-of-read. However, when I did pick up the book I was transported right back to where I left off. Also, I loved the characters and I shed a few tears for them at the end!

Womp. Womp.
I had super high expectations for this one because Emily Henry’s other books have always been right up my alley. However, this one was such a let down and I’m very sad about it.
Nora and Charlie both work in publishing and are certified “book lovers” - cute, right? They don’t get along from the start, but it’s mostly because they’re reading each other all wrong (book pun FULLY intended).

“Sometimes, even when you start with the last page and you think you know everything, a book finds a way to surprise you.”

I loved this book so much. As a book lover myself, I knew this was going to be good, and it didn’t disappoint. In my eyes, Emily Henry can do no wrong.
I really enjoyed the premise of this book and the way tropes were acknowledged and sort of made fun of. Nora was a good POV character and I liked that she wasn’t willing to put aside her own wants and aspirations for a relationship. Charlie was freaking adorable. I will always like a hot, bookish love interest. Together, they were such a sweet cou ...more
