This book quite literally gave me an abnormally high blood pressure but it was outstanding! I absolutely adored the characters and especially the world building. I found it easy for me to vividly imagine and play out the entire book in my head all while experiencing all kinds of emotions. I like that the main characters weren’t extremely generic like most mainstream characters are. They had unique and differentiating personalities as well as viewpoints. Okay so this book took me forever to finish lol. A little guilty. It was a bit hard for me to get into it at the start. But around the 150/180 mark, it started getting better. I enjoyed the book. I’m a sucker for apocalyptic stories and it being a queer one was sweet. The slow burn was just so good and the last 100/150 pages were just too good for me to not give it a 4 stars. The relationship between the main characters is so cute and definitely worth the read.
