Geez. Where to even begin with this thing?

I had high hopes for this book. The prologue that I read sounded so fascinating that I added this book to my shelf of "samples to buy" on my nook. I'm glad that I checked it out at the library instead as I ended up being extremely disappointed.

The premise is interesting I suppose. But the book reads like it's trying to emulate Percy Jackson and Harry Potter simultaneously. The tone feels wrong. The villains themselves, that are supposed to be part of t ...more
