[close] The description on the flap of this book does not do it justice and even having just finished it, I find myself struggling to find the words to even describe it. Enthralling may be a good one. Akwaeke Emezi does an amazing job bringing their imagery to life, weaving a story that blurs the lines between real and unbelievable. Angels and Monsters are not so easy to recognize or define in this world and it really gave me pause to think about how this applies to our own realities. Highly recommend!
