I don’t even know what to say *proceeds writing a whole review*

The first Henry novel I read was “People we meet on vacation” and I loved it so much. Later on I read “Beach read” but unfortunately I did not feel the same spark as before, so I was a little concerned with this one.

Well, well, well.

it was…okay! i liked the last third a lot more than the rest of the book and the ending was actually my absolute ideal ending for this story and these characters - it was pretty fitting and realistic. overall though, it was mostly a disappointment. maybe i wouldn’t have had such a bad time with it if pwmov wasn’t in my top 5 favorite books of all time, but this just didn’t have the same spark as that one and my expectations were crazy high.
