i didn’t really like the beginning or the first half of this book, like stuff were happening but at the same time nothing seemed to happen. The second half was way better and I loved the political intrigue aspect this book took or applied into the storyline. I hate Taryn and Locke but I really loved Cardan’s personality, as of Jude I don’t know if to like her or hate her (right now I kind of like her). I’m excited to see what happens in the second book, especially after that ending.

First of all, I was in a slump when I picked up this book, hoping to get out of my slump. Idk either it’s because of a slump or the book but 3.5 out of 5. I know this book is so hyped yet it didn’t stick out to me from any other books that I’ve read. I was expecting something amazing that can pique my interest on this book, however, the first half of the book was a little slow for my liking (it was super slow paced to extent I read not more that 10 pages a day).
