just finished the book, it’s a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for me. i don’t usually read fantasy, but this was actually good! i fell in love with jude. i’m sorry cardan, but i can be a better boyfriend that you. the only problem i did have was the “enemies to lovers” trope. first, as someone who had to deal with bullying growing up, i had a really hard time connecting with cardan. i didn’t like him AT ALL at first. I really like this book. I thought Jude was a bad@ss female main character I thought the way she stood up to Cardan and his friends was bad@ss. Tryan and Locke can honestly choke and die 🤢 but the one thing I would say about this book is don’t read it solely based on the romance.

Don’t go in thinking this will be enemies to lovers.
If u love more political plots, then this is for u.

Besties this is probably one of my favourite series. Ahhhh!!! I love Jude. I love how girlboss, gatekeep, gaslight she is. And Cardan is a simp w daddy issues.
