I mostly listened to this book on audio....great read and i highly recommend it. I really liked the narrator, she made the story for me. I throughly enjoyed this plot. Hill is a new author for me and I'm already giving another one of his books a shot! ...more

Definitely a recommended read for anyone who likes King - he's certainly passed his literary talents to his son! ...more

I really wanted to like this book. The concept sounded so good and promising.
But to me this book was anything but scary and thrilling and horryfying. It was very boring and unnecesarrily long and so much of the extra story did not matter to the outcome at all. It felt very anticlimactic.

"Crazy f*ck want every day to be like Christmas, but I'll give him the f*cking 4th of July."

Wow what an adventure! I'd like to skip Christmas this year please! And I don't want to hear any of the Christmas songs either! At least not for a while. Honestly, my head hurts after reading this. Manx and Bing are two formidable duo that I don't ever want to come across with if ever they are real. I hope I won't have any nightmares. It's a different kind of vampire story for sure.

While I did enjoy this

I loved this book!
It was like an imaginative culmination of terror and fantasy. I think parts of it dragged a tiny bit, but it made sense to me why they were written like that.
I look forward to reading more of Joe’s works.

What a strange, weird, story that I cannot exactly out my finger in a category that quite describes it. It’s definitely a mashup of horror, dreams, mystery, adventure, romance, joy, sadness, tenderness all rolled up into one big epic tale.

I enjoyed NOS4AT2 very much though it was long in parts and could have been trimmed down a bit here and there.
The villain was both sad and horrible, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. We find hero’s in the most unlikely places and the world building to be very

Wow. This book was amazingly creepy. But it also has so many references to things I love it just hit all the right notes with me. I really liked Hill's other books, but this is far above and beyond. Brilliantly done. ...more

A good premise but sometimes the back and forth through time and place was hard to follow.

Interesting. I a,most stopped reading the book because of the direction it was going. Fortunately, it changed direction and I finished.

I seem to be one of the few people who think Joe Hill is a one-hit wonder. I loved Heart Shaped Box, thought 20th Century Ghosts was okay, despised Horns and was bored stiff with Nos4A2. The characters were dull, the plot silly and the scenarios unbelievable. I really tried but after 150 pages I gave up. There are too many good books to read without being bored by this schlock.

I had trouble putting this down so luckily I was on holidays and I could devote a lot of time to reading. I give it a strong 4.5, maybe even 5. Creepy and ghoulish but not overly so...I shouldn't say that, there were some parts that are not for the feint if heart.

And his mom was right, needed the last chapter at the end. Well done.

Highly recommended.
