This book was pretty fun, you can't help but root for Watney to survive. As someone who blogs and reads others' blogs, I liked that his story was told through his log entries, and I enjoyed his humor. I liked some of the shifts in the narrative to 3rd person as well, but also found some of them unnecessary.

Reading this book made me forget this is only a fiction novel. Despite the many chemistry, NASA, and technical jargon, Andy Weir managed to make everything clear as if you were with the protagonist. The sense of humor amidst the great tension everyone faced never fails to amaze me. Each character has its own charisma, and I love everyone of them.
