Not one of my favourite outings from Holly Black, it was strange but rather uninvolving and not one that ever really grabbed my attention and certainly it was a struggle to hold it. Black is an intestine author no doubt, with a somewhat varied output but certainly uneven and this one was for me not her finest hour.
