I got half way through and couldn't read anymore. Sorry Virginia. It's not the lengthy detail of the scenery and landscape, which can, at times, beautifully reflect the mood (i.e pleasure, almost euphoric), I can't get on with the who said and who did what and when. If a neighbour was to say they did this and that and took half an hour to say something that could have taken a few sentences... after the eleventh time, you'd look for an excuse not to hang around. I wish I was more patient because ...more

I’ve read Woolf before and been wowed but this was absolutely my least favorite. I don’t enjoy steam of conscious prose and just couldn’t relax and enjoy it.
