This was a re-read for me. I read this the first time in 11th grade and hated it! I thought it was so boring, and I have to admit that high-school me was not that far off the mark. There are some really great moments of action (there is a murderous monster after all), and I found the Monster's tale particularly poignant (one of the main reasons I raised my rating), and the question of who is the monster can make great conversation amongst very nerdy people. A true original that keeps you hanging until the very end with some suprises along the way.
I expected more. And Frankenstein himself annoyed me. As did all of the other 2D characters.
