You know you read a good book when the movie in your head starts and you get lost in the story. Sadly this never happened for me with this book. I forced myself through 5 chapters until I decided that the struggle was not worth it.
The story (that I had to reread on SparkNotes to fully understand) is really good and interesting but that narrator just killed me. The writing was so bland and boring. Not enjoyable at all.

This is my fourth time reading Frankenstein. I thoroughly enjoy this novel every time I read it and am reminded why Mary Shelley is the mother of Science Fiction. This time I read it for a paper in my Lit class and analyzed it with the scope that Victor is the real monster and that made for an entirely different read.
