Frankenstein is nothing what you think it is. This is a very moving and disturbing story of playing God, ambition, secrets, arrogance and revenge. A tragic tale of rejection from a parent, and judgement over those who do not seem the same as us. How one act upon another can create a consequence of negativity.
I loved this book and highly recommend it to anyone who loves good writing. Mary Shelley's writing is like beautiful poetry although the content itself is horrifying.

I liked this book, especially for the lyrical old world prose. This was nothing like the Frankenstein story that almost everyone is familiar with. I think my version was abridged, however. I saw no mention of Lilly, Marylyn, Eddie and Grandpa Munster!
Very much enjoyed this story. I found it to be very different than expected, and I very much enjoyed it. Certainly nothing like the popularized version we all think we know. Quick and enjoyable read.
