It wasn't bad, but it's not great. A few of the cons: the big plot and its overcoming was very "meh", some logical holes such as with the zip-lining incident, the sometimes wearying introspection of the heroine. I would however give Book 2 a chance, so it wasn't completely terrible. ...more

Divergent é mais uma distopia. Este mundo é dividido por facções com traços diferentes que se complementam e dividem. Achei a distopia muito bem construída, com uma descrição interessante da mecânica geral deste mundo. Mas creio que falhou por se focar essencialmente em 3 facções. Não se tem muito vislumbre de Candor e Amity. Para além disso, gostaria de ter percebido melhor em termos organizacionais como funciona este mundo. Pareceu-me que foi abordado apenas ao de leve.

Normally, I don't fangirl over anything - except maybe Star Wars or Doctor Who (yup, I'm that kind of weird person) - but Divergent is really awesome!

I just finished reading it a couple of hours ago, and can't wait to read the rest of the series. Unlike The Hunger Games, which has similar themes - dystopian society where people are divided into sections that don't interact for the most part of their lives - and shares the fact that the narrator of the story is the female main character, Divergen ...more
