What Members Thought
This was my second time reading this book. There were a few more little things that I noticed about it this time, however my original thoughts of the characters are the same, some stronger. (Tom gets more and more despicable with every read.)
This is actually the first novel I've read for school that I've actually liked, maybe because I started reading it before it was set, I'm not sure. But I actually really liked it. Initially I found the story a bit of a drag, but that was mainly because there was the whole explanation as to why Nick was there so it took a bit longer to get into it than I would've liked, but the last 3 chapters were fast paced and that made up for the slow introduction.

I am very fond of F. Scott Fitzgerald's writing and have been ever since reading "Love of the Last Tycoon". I loved this book but really wish I had reread it awhile back, before the film came out and refreshed my memory of the story. I think the magic of his story was lost on me due to my recent viewing of the film. Ugh. Disappointed with myself.
