What an excellent novel. As with works of fiction, particularly classical fiction, it payed to slow down and absorb the scenes the author painted and appreciate his style of writing. That proved to be very rewarding with this novel as it offers countless rich, memorable scenes. This book has a wealth of settings and moments.
