A classic that I finally simply had to read (although I occasionally felt like I must have read a version of it before in my childhood or early teens - probably an abridged edition). The basic story is part of the universal consciousness: an innocent man is wrongfully imprisoned before his wedding and spends over a decade in prison. After finally escaping and rich beyond belief, he sets out to seek revenge from those who did him wrong.
