"Last night I dreamed I went to Manderley again" So begins the story of a a shy, unsophisticated young bride with an unusual name that we never learn. Intimidated by the housekeeper Mrs. Danvers her marriage begins to unravel as does her fragile psyche. A wonderful Gothic romance. One of my all time favourites.
