What Members Thought

Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

I have never read a book that has made me so angry, happy, frustrated, moved, pained, confused, enlightened, elated, depressed, incredulous, and awe-struck. I simultaneously adored it and wanted to throw it out of the window - I hope Heller would approve.

I'm sorry to say that I didn't like this book, and in all honesty I was bored stiff with it. I get the point the author was trying to put across: about the insanity of war and beauracy and how inane the entire thing is etc etc. I can see it's value, how I'm sorry to say I wouldn't recommend it. Through the read, I honestly didn't care about either of the characters and just wanted them to die and get on with it.
