Shelves: read-in-2016, book-i-own, kindle, pleasantly-surprised, ya

I loved this. I saw this at the library last year in the NEW YA section and the cover caught my eye. When I picked it up I noticed that I had already read Shadow and Bone by this author. Shadow and Bone had interesting characters with magical powers known as Grisha. When I learned that this book also featured Grisha, I wanted to read it. I ended up buying it for the kindle but never got around to it until now. I must say that I liked it even better than that series. I read the first two and the ...more

I really enjoyed the characters and plot of this story. The only reason it's not getting five stars is because I didn't like the ending. I know there is a second book, but I would have rather this one ended with everything wrapped up, but that's just a personal preference. ...more
