I'm here to be a killjoy amongst all of the 4 and 5 star reviews! There are so many rave reviews for this book - and to each their own - but it just wasn't a good fit for me at all. I love this thriller/mystery genre, but this one leaves me scratching my head in so many ways. I did read after finishing the book, that this was the author's first jaunt outside of romance novels - I think she should stick with romance novels.

A generous 4 star. I wish I was one of the first individuals to read ‘Verity’, I believe my expectations may had been set too high for the novel. I had heard so many great reviews that honestly, I felt a little letdown when I was done. That’s not to say ‘Verity’ wasn’t a worthy suspense novel, surely it was. Simply a warning to proceed with a beginner’s mind and then it will exceed all expectations!

Well that was a wild dark ride.
Recommended by one of my family members and it was certainly a page turner.
Loads of sex, but it forms a part of the storyline, so although one might start to feel voyeuristic, its not entirely gratuitous but part of the persona.
One or more if the characters has psychopathic behaviour and so do expect some disturbing content in this domestic mystery.

Ehhh… not sure what that was… this shallow storyline seemed to exist in a vacuum in which not a damn soul, outside the main characters, could serve as a reference or witness. I will stick with Colleen Hoover’s romances.
