“Is there anything better than iced coffee and a bookstore on a sunny day? I mean, aside from hot coffee and a bookstore on a rainy day.”

This book was everything. The romance gods really would be proud of Emily Henry. She used a list of tropes as long as my arm to curate this perfect rom-com. It was laugh out loud funny and some of the conversations were truly beyond witty! I devoured this book in just a day, even with two screaming children, it was just THAT good.

This 5 star plus book was my Emily Henry favorite to date. Unlike her other books where it took me a while to start loving them, this was almost love at first sight. I'm so sorry I have to dnf. I don't think this is the worst book ever but I'm so bored. I really liked the prologue. Unfortunately that's the only thing I liked. Did not care for the love interest nor the MC. I think 40% is a convenient place to pull the plug. ...more

This is the first Emily Henry book I’ve read after her books were raved about. I was disappointed, but I have heard this isn’t her best book. It lacked character development and I was just bored. I had to skim over the last couple of chapters and many parts of the book were just unnecessary. I would have liked to have seen more about the sibling relationship and past trauma, but that wasn’t brought out much at all.
