3.5 rounding up. Started slow and characters were whiny but progressed into some good banter. The flashbacks broke up the narrative and in several cases slowed down the plot but overall story lines were fairly solid.

This story was beautiful and I grew to appreciate the main characters. My subjective rating of it being 3 stars is simply because I had to force myself to get to the finish line as the romantic arc didn't do much for me. It's not any error made on the author's part! Just preferences on my part, I suppose, as friends-to-lovers is 50/50 for me.

But forget solely focusing on tropes and romance; Poppy and Alex's friendship was beautiful to witness. The way they deeply cared for one another was moving ...more

5⭐️!! Emily Henry never fails. Reading this book again with a deep mindset has truly made me fall more in love with this book. I can’t express how deeply I care for these characters. Forever thinking about them🫶🏻
