American Gods is the 2nd book by Neil Gaiman that I've read and enjoyed. I wanted to read this especially because I wanted to start watching the TV series based on the book.
I have to say that this was so very interesting. I can see similar themes between American Gods and the other book I've read, Neverwhere, but on a bigger scale. Fantastic book. Couldn't put it down. Not sure how to describe the book because there are so many parts. It's said that it's a commentary on religion and I guess it is to a certain extent. But, for me, it was a journey of self discovery on the narrator's part.

It has a very interesting and innovative plot.
What happens to Gods when people forget about them?
Especially in America,where people with different cultures and religion live,this question gets more interesting.
So we have a gathering of (forgotten) gods and cultural heroes from across the world in this book-Indian ,Norse,Native American &what not!
It was good; but I can't say I really liked it.
Felt a lot of things needed explanation. eg:-
