alright, so by the hype surrounding this, i thought it was gonna be spectacular. amazing. brilliant. it turned out to be amazing and brilliant, but not spectacular. it wasn't the best of the best, and it wasn't really bad. it was a normal, heartwarming love story and i enjoyed reading it. some parts felt underdeveloped and not as good as the others but it was a fun, lighthearted read and the blossoming relationships and friendships were nice to read about. overall, it was a good book and i would ...more

this remains to be one of my all time favorite comfort books - having reread it multiple times in the past few years. i don’t know why but there’s just something so comforting about becky albertalli’s style of writing.
