Both hilarious and touching. I love Vera! This is a light-hearted read, not a serious mystery.

Ohhh this was SUCH fun. I can't wait for book 2. I had a blast with Vera's nosy nonsense and I loved the cast of characters we got to meet. I hope some of them will be a big part of the future books in this series. ...more

This was a fine, no-brainer book - a bit silly and very unrealistic. I just wish that writers would stop writing 60 year old women as if we have 1 foot in the coffin. We are not that old or frumpy.
