I thought his was pretty good overall. While it did drag in the first half or so, I was OK with that. I liked how the friends had an annual trip to a cottage in Maine and I loved the setting.

Wyn and Harriet have recently broken up, but for whatever reason they didn't tell their good friends prior to their annual trip. So, as luck and their good friends would have it, they gave them the biggest bedroom. That, in my opinion, set up the foreshadowing for what would eventually happen.

God I love Emily Henry so much.

Harriet cannot wait to go to her Happy Place — the vacation house in Maine that she and her best friends spend a week at every summer. I'm between 2 and 3 stars on this one. It had some great moments, but I think I'd have liked it better as a novella. I was really bored for the middle 200 pages. Bored and annoyed. Half the plot of this book was people not being honest to protect the feelings of others resulting in massive miscommunications. I couldn't help feeling like the problems presented were overblown at times. The last 50 pages or so made up for a lot, but I still would have chopped some of the drama from the middle. ...more
