3–3.5★ — enjoyable but not as gripping as her other work
This felt like a comfort read—simple, atmospheric, and easy to sink into. It has that familiar haunted house setup with strange messages and a dark past, and while it wasn’t particularly original, it was still fun to read. I guessed the twist early on, along with the meaning behind the notes, so it lacked suspense for me.

Definitely spooky and kept me interested overall. The MC was a bit odd though. She accepted some things super easily, and was just unobservant as a whole. I agree with others that her lack of interest in the house is strange. Definitely some weak areas, but I was interested and read it quickly.
